Case study
Security Scanner Plugin
A custom WordPress plugin that scans public domain security signals and turns the results into visitor insight and lead-generation data.
The challenge
Prospective customers often do not know whether their domain has visible website, DNS, email, or registration weaknesses, or where to begin evaluating them.
The solution
We created a custom WordPress plugin that performs a quick public-facing domain security scan while giving Network Box USA a practical, value-first lead-generation tool.
Technical approach
Server-side PHP checks DNS records, email authentication standards, HTTP security headers, HTTPS behavior, DNSSEC, nameserver configuration, and public domain-registration data before calculating category scores and storing the results in a private WordPress database.
Design considerations
Results are grouped into clear website, email, DNS, and domain-health sections, with plain-language findings that remain useful to nontechnical visitors without presenting the scan as a full security assessment.
Outcome
The plugin gives visitors immediate insight into their external security posture and creates a natural path from identified gaps to a deeper conversation with the Network Box USA team.
